Advanced Options

his section controls a few more advanced options for the theme. These options would only concern the more advanced users.

Load More

This option replaces the default pager with a "Load More" button in Blog archives, tags and category pages. Load More functionality for portfolio grids view and blog view is controlled in individual "Views". See the description of each of these views in the "Creating Views" section for more info.

Retina Support

If set to "Yes" high resolution images will be served to retina compatible devices, providing your original images are large enough to support a 2x size. This also requires Lazy Loading to be enabled in order to function correctly.

Lazy Loading

Lazy Loading only loads images once they are needed. Without lazy loading all image assets are loaded upon page load. Using Lazy Loading will make page load times faster, and page rendering less cpu heavy, which is especially useful in mobile and tablet devices.

Save Builder in Editor

If enabled, this option will mean that page builder content will replace WP editor content when saving the page. Plugins like Yoast SEO will then be able to access page builder content also.

Javascript Compression

This instructs the theme to use a compressed version of the javascript source code required by this theme. Using the compressed javascript speeds up the loading of the theme's pages.

CSS Compression

This instructs the theme to use a compressed version of the CSS stylesheets required by this theme. Using the compressed CSS speeds up the loading of the theme's pages.

The only reason for disabling CSS and JS compression would be if you wished to make significant changes to the CSS or Javascript sources for this theme. For minor CSS and Javascript changes to the theme, the Custom CSS/JS fields in the General Theme options tab (See above), should be sufficient.

Clear Thumbs Cache

The thumb cache shows all thumbs associated with a certain attachment in the media library thumb cropping control. These thumbs are auto generated by the theme at various sizes where the attachment had been used. If images are later removed, swapped, inserted elsewhere etc. all of the generated thumbnails will still appear in the cropping control dialog even though they may not be used anymore by the theme. There are 2 options to deal with this situation.
Hide - Removes all the thumbnails appearing in the cropping control dialog. Only those thumbnails loaded when the website is viewed become visible again in the cropping control area. Preview the page in a browser to see the required thumbs only in the dialog again. No thumbnails are deleted.
Delete - Removes all the thumbnails appearing in the cropping control dialog and also deletes the thumbnail image files from the server. This option puts more of a strain on the server because images have to be regenerated, however it keeps the media folders free from unnecessary thumbnail sizes.

Show Thumbnails

If set to "Yes", featured image thumbnails (if inserted) are shown in the post list view in the WordPress default admin post list - Posts>All Posts. This simply makes it easier to recognise posts based on their featured images as opposed to their titles.
