This view is used to create a responsive carousel. This view can receive its content from a host of different post based sources. The number of columns or carousel items displayed at any one time (in normal resolutions) can be specified. Please note that the view itself decides how many to show when the website is in responsive mode. The parameters available for this view are as follows:
Input data = Posts
Max | Set the maximum amount of posts to be shown. Leave this field empty for unlimited posts. | |
Selection | Use this control to manually pick posts to be included in the view. | |
Categories | Includes items in the view only from the selected categories. | |
Tags | Includes items in the view only featuring the selected tags. | |
Format | Includes items in the view which correspond to the selected format. |
Carousel Settings
Delay | Time in seconds before the carousel rotates to the next item. | |
Layout | Specify the number of carousel items which will be displayed at one time (in normal desktop resolution). Note, the view will determine the number to display at smaller resolutions, such as on mobile devices. | |
Image Height | Enter the desired height of the image content of the carousel. | |
Excerpt | This is the excerpt length of the carousel unit's text content. The code will count up to this number of characters and then seek the closest whole word on which to finish the excerpt text. So if for example the carousel will hold posts, this would be used to only show a small amount of the post's text content in the carousel unit. |
