Portfolio Grid Settings

Filter by

Shows filters for the grid images based on the selection made. Filters allow users to reduce the number of thumbnails displayed by narrowing the topic to which the displayed thumbnails are related.

Use Lightbox

If set to "Yes" clicking on an image thumbnail will open the item in a lightbox. "No" on the other hand will take the user directly to the item page itself once a click is registered.

Layout

The layout of the grid of images. Boxed - The grid will be restricted to a maximum width of 940px. The actual width of the grid may be much smaller than this, it will depend on its containing element.
Full Width - The grid will fill the full available width within the browser (provided a full width page is also selected).

Cell Width

Here the width of the grid cell module is specified. This will determine the number of columns of images displayed in the grid. The the boxed grid situation ideally the width of the grid's containing element should be equally divisible by the figure entered here. While in the case of the full width grid, the standard screen resolutions width values should be equally divisible by the figure entered here.

Cell Height

Here the width of the grid cell module is specified.

Cell Layout

Fixed - All grid cells with be forced to adopt the cell width and height defined in the 2 settings immediately above.
Variable - All cells will ignore the above settings and their cells will be sized based on the cell sizes entered in individual project pages.

Horizontal Margin

This is the gap (in pixels) on the left and right hand side of each grid thumbnail.

Vertical Margin

This is the gap (in pixels) on the top and bottom of each grid thumbnail.

Sorting

None - Use this setting when all grid items have the same size, items will then be sorted in chronological order, the order in which they were created.
Auto - Use this setting when cells have varying sizes, the grid will then attempt to auto adjust the cell arrangement to find a neat layout.

Paged Result

If set to "Yes", then any projects over the "Max" figure entered above will be accessible using pagination at the bottom of the grid.

If the "Paged Result" option above is enabled and a value has been set in the "Max" field of the input data type, then this option, once enabled, will replace the default pager with a "Load More" button. This button will basically load more items and add them to the existing items using an ajax call, meaning the page will not need to reload as would be the case with the default pagination.
